Dicalcium Phosphate is a mineral-based raw material used as a phosphorus source in feed production and animal nutrition.
By incorporating this mineral-based phosphate into animal rations, animals’ phosphorus needs are met with high efficiency, resulting in increased growth, reproductive performance, and feed conversion rates.
Phosphorus is vital for many essential biological processes, particularly ATP production, nucleic acid synthesis, and bone formation.
The production of dicalcium phosphate is based on the direct reaction of phosphoric acid, calcium oxide, and calcium carbonate. All three raw materials are of a purity suitable for animal nutrition. This results in products with the following distinctive properties:
• Highly digestible mineral phosphorus
• Low chloride content
• Acidic pH
• Low heavy metal levels
• Appropriate particle size
The raw materials used in production and the final product undergo rigorous quality control processes and are stored in a manner that prevents any contamination.
The final product is dried with natural gas at low, controlled temperatures. This method prevents phosphorus retrogradation and increases the product’s digestibility and bioavailability. From an environmental perspective, this production process is completely environmentally friendly and produces no chemical waste.
